Biscuit cheese bomb
Half the family is gone this weekend, so I haven’t really done any grocery shopping. The kid that is home with me can’t eat anything hard today, so what is a mom to do? I looked in the fridge and found a tube of premade biscuit dough, so why not make some biscuit cheese bombs.
These are super easy to make and you can fill them with just about any kind of cheese you have on hand. They are great for a quick snack or, in our case, lunch.
Ingredients:
1 tube (16 oz.) refrigerated biscuit dough. We use Immaculate Buttermilk Biscuit dough in my house.
4 ounces of cheese (cubed mozzarella, cheddar, or monterey work well)
Garlic Sauce
4 tablespoons of butter
Pinch of salt
Pinch of garlic powder
Pinch of oregano
Pinch of Parsley (fresh preferred)
Instructions:
Preheat over at 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. I used a silicon baking mat.
Take the biscuits out of the tube and separate. Spread biscuit slightly, place a cube in the center and wrap biscuit around it. Seal and place seam down on the mat. Repeat until you have finished the entire tube of biscuits.
Bake for about 10 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
Sauce
Place butter, salt, garlic powder, oregano and parsley in a small pan and combine. Melt at low heat for about 1 minute.
As soon as biscuit bombs are done, liberally brush every biscuit with the garlic sauce. These are better eaten warm, so eat immediately.
